Your input never leaves your browser
Controller Test is a local-only diagnostic tool. Button presses, stick positions, trigger travel and vibration commands are read and processed inside your browser tab and are not transmitted to any server.
What we collect
We do not collect controller input. We do not require an account. We do not upload the name, vendor ID or state of your gamepad. Basic anonymous request logs (page URL, referrer, coarse region) may be recorded by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not linked to your controller usage.
Cookies
The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Any local storage used by a diagnostic tool (for example, remembering a preferred dead-zone setting) stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
Permissions
Some advanced tools such as PS controller calibration use WebHID, which asks for explicit device permission. You can revoke this permission at any time from your browser settings. The Gamepad API itself requires a physical button press before it exposes any data, which is enforced by the browser.
Third parties
We do not embed third-party trackers, advertising SDKs or session replay tools. If this ever changes, we will update this page and highlight it on the home page before the change goes live.
